Default Lake providence 6/14 for some R&D

Snuck off this morning to try some new jigs out.

Had plenty competition today. I don't reckon anyone works for a living anymore. I can vaguely remember a time when weekdays used to be crowd free fishing, those days are long gone....

Found some fish pitching jigs around laydowns, docks and old pier pilings about 5 ft deep. Color didn't seem to matter much, caught fish on a variety of colors.

Kept about a half limit with a couple cat perch and a big ole donkey headed goo for PPG....

My friend and I delivered a trailer load of tomatoes and jalapeņos there today to Providence Foods and wondered about that lake. It surely looks like you should be able to catch a few fish. One of the guys who helped us unload the trailer said that he had been catching them around the docks. Looks good. GTT

Some people have all the time and some have all the luck, but you seem to have your share of both. Nice report and JR will be happy when he received the goo in a FEDEX box.

There's been a lot of fish caught there the last two months.

I always thought it would be a good place to pull cranks. There's some 25' + water all along the hwy side of lake.

    Nice haul with the R&D.
    Beautiful water.
I talked to my neighbor about a month ago and he had just gotten back from there on a fish catching expedition. Talked about fishing up and down a finger of the lake....
I wouldn't let him come back if I was you....
