The Road Runners do have small hooks, I myself order mine from light wire hook (Curtis Hobbs). I have been ordering from him for a couple of years now before I moved to Mississippi from Florida.

Ordered 500 matzuo hooks once and about 50% of them had no barb. Might have been knock offs but anyway now I only use Eagle claw lil nasty, they are the real deal. If a fish can swallow a crank bait it can get a big hook, I go big with the hook.

6And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
Same as above I open it just enough where the point is above the eye.

Another question. Dove int longlining yesterday with very limited success, lol. I had an awful time with line twist, as I think my jigs were spinning in the water. twist so bad, reels wouldn't throw. I have never read about anyone using swivels. May have to use one now. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I use snap swivels on every rod and prerigs. when one tangles I unclip and if it is bad, chunk in the boat and clip a new one on.

go to Redneckrubberllc.com and get their jig heads ...mThey come 1/16!1/8 or 1/4 with #2/0 hooks,,,made for the Big beavertail jigs they make as well,,,very nice jigs,,,
Ditto.
I went through a pile of rigs this evening. Terminal rigs are double jigs on 10lb mono attached to a small swivel. That swivel attaches to a snap swivel at the end of the main line which is 30lb Depth Hunter.
Double swivels all but eliminate twist. Using the lighter terminal rig allows it to break instead of the main line if the hook doesn't pull. I have a pool noodle wrapped with 30+ double jig rigs that I pre-tied. Having the snap swivel at the end of the main line allows me to replace a broken rig in under 2 minutes. Also works for Capps & Coleman rigs.
