    That 2 tone effect on the heads looks killer. I don't have the patience to do that. I loath painting heads, I even quit doing the 3d eyes.

    Best way I found to get the legs to lay back was to go out a little more on the length. My rubber tails are probably a smidgen longer than my other jigs are.

    Good looking jigs that will all catch fish. What I have found with the rubber(or silicone) is that it behaves similar to deer body hair, which is hollow. The tighter you pull, the more it flairs. I now tie in the tips of the rubber tight, making it secure and unable to pull it out, then relax the tension some and wrap toward the tail, thus bringing the tail into the shape you are looking for instead of an uncontrolled bend of the material. Once I get the desired look, I wrap back toward the head and put a little sally on those wraps to secure the looser wraps, then finish the jig. Hope this helps, hard to explain.
