Yep, I'm going to tie up a couple to use at Grenada when the water finally comes up a little but we do get some that could actually take a hook that big. Just amused me that some one would throw those in along with a sample pack of #2 gold lil nasty jig hooks.

I just opened a package from them today and they had put some of those in there also. Could almost make a gaff hook out of those. Big difference from the #8 sickle's that I ordered. Do I have to tell you what I did with those big ones?

Redge, that's a 1/8 head with 1/0 lil nasty. I pour them with that and a few with 2/0. I also have a 1/16 pony head mold I pour #2 and #1 in. I know that's a big hook for most folks but where I fish we have a 12 inch limit so we are only fishing for big fish. Never had a problem with hook ups.

Don't know for sure because package was not labeled but guessing 6-8/0. Looks like it's for a big salt wate jig or a huge bass swimbait

I had an order one time that had some samples in it. Wish I would have taken pictures as the hooks I got were the variety they utilize for Gator fishing. No kidding they were that big. Not cheap I'm sure.

I used to put a colection together of all the odd hooks I would get in packages of 1000. Never would fail, I would usually have two or three odd sizes, shapes, and makes of hooks in each box!
