Very tough, yet rewarding day. Started the day fishing flat lake area all the way to the shell cuts, nothing. Water was so clear you could see the bottom in 10fow. Picked up and launched at doirons to fish grassy lake area. Brought Scotty with me in hopes of a rewarding catch. We fished hard; laydowns, wellhead, runouts, shallow structure, deep structure, all of it! This was definitely the hardest day I've had this year. Ended up with 10 keepers and one bass. However two of the slabs were toads, 14"! As hard as the day was, it was a much needed dose of humility. You don't smash em every time you get on the water. As long as you learn something the day is a success. Never stop learning and never give up.
