Spring Camp Raffle
As stated at the beginning of the year, the MICDC coffers are pretty much dry. Over the last few years we have done some pretty great things involving local charities. During this time we selflessly donated time, money, and materials in order to send under privlidged and at risk youth to summer camp. These events have been a pleasure to be a part of. During this time of unselfishness, we allowed our MICDC coffers to run low. We utilize this money in order to obtain items for our events without the need to "pass the hat". These items include plaques and awards for fishing tournaments, gifts to members for their tireless acts of service, reserving and paying for pavilions, name tags, raffle tickets, and other expendable products that the club can use.
This year we decided to host a raffle showcasing the different talents of the men and women involved with MICDC. All of our members have unique skills and create outstanding things that other members would be proud to own. These products include custom made woodwork, hard crafted quilts and interior decor, carving, framed photographs, canned goods and preserves, homemade jerkey, smoked fish, baked goods, and anything else that is in some way crafted by the men and women that make up our group.
This thread is for you to post a photograph of the product you intend to raffle along with an explaination of the materials that went in to it, how it was made, where it was made, or what is special (to you) about it.
This will give everyone a better idea of what will be available prior to our arrival at camp. As with previous benefits, we will sell raffle tickets starting at Liar's Club. You can put one or as many tickets you would like in the jar corresponding with the item you would like to try and win. We do NOT put all the eggs in one basket and start drawing. Each item is it's own raffle.
Start posting your photos now. Some people have already completed their items and others are just wrapping them up (as with my case).
