    Default Grand Bayou 5-2-17


    Found some fish today back on the deep water flat. 17 fow and the winner today was a ole shoot bank custom carrot jig in popsicle color. I even scored a few channel cats. There was about 6 boats fishing today. Trying to get a trip in before the rain tomorrow. #TeamOveralls

    Man I love using my own tied jigs but one thing plastic has an advantage of is being able to change quickly. I was fishing 2 plastic poles and 2 hand tied poles today. I have 4 poles rigged with hand tied and 4 poles rigged with plastic.

    I have never seen Grand Bayou as calm as that top picture you posted! I'm might need to start working saturdays and take off during the week!

    question 1...how deep were u fishing?...2..was that a single jig on ur line or do u use multiple jigs? Thanks...

    Fishing 16' deep in 17' fow. Single jig. I don't double jig rig just because I never have.
