Everywhere I fish there really is no unexplored or unknown spots anymore I don't think . With the fishing pressure and equipment now days. Generally whether you get to fish a spot is determined by the number fishing that day and if they make it around to your spot. If there are fish on it ,it's generally because a new batch of fish have taken it up since the last time it was fished hard or people where using the wrong technique. That's another reason I say color and size and scents and all that stuff matter. Because I have pulled up on spots I have watched 5 boats fish... catching little or nothing ...and caught fish behind them.People have done the same to me so yeah some days you can't just hang anything in front of them.

A lot of times if I sit still for several hours I see as many as two or three boats an hour or more pull up and fish a spot.

That's the good thing about pulling cranks. You don't hang around one spot for long.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

If a person wants to have private fishing spots he'll have to buy land with a lake on it or build one.

A while back, someone that I have fished around several times at this one place was already in place when I arrived. I caught 19 following him and his friend around. It isn't all about where sometimes, but how.

Being that "my spots" are spots that others have told me about, or have shown me over the years... I still call them "my spots" I am also very picky to who i carry to "my spots". I aint about to carry some loose lipped buddy to one. Only guys i fish with or ones i trust go to them with me. But i do fish Public waters so none are actually "my spots". I gripe when someone is in one of them but i always go to another one of "my spots" However...if i am in one of "my spots" i dont need any help catching fish from "space invaders"

If I build it I call it my pile ....but not in reference to it only belongs to me , just because I built it . Then there are the piles and those got there some other way . But I don't really care if you hit any of them and might slide up and join the fun if I think I am not to terribly close . So here in lies the next post .....how close is to close .....
