Reelfoot is my home lake. I've been catching plenty of fish. Granted, some days are harder than others, but they're still there. It's one of those lakes I don't recommend taking on without a little local knowledge such as a guide or someone on here. It's a harsh lake. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Don't let it deter you from coming back. Next time just holler at one of us from around here and we'll gladly help you out. I've helped out several people on here.

As far as the fella above who stated that locals don't like sharing information, I find that true. But I'm not one of them. I've lived on the lake for 7 years and when I first started people treated me the same way, even though I was from there. It took me several years to learn how to fish the lake on my own, which is why I don't mind sharing. I know how it is. Tiptonville is a small town and we make a lot of our money off out of towners owners who come to fish the lake. So in my mind I want people to enjoy themselves and come back. Others don't think that way. They think everyone is going to fish out their spots. It's a big lake! Craopie are abundant! There's room for all of us! So like I said, send me a friend request, and holler at me next time you come back. I'm not a guide, will charge you no money, and I'll go out with you and let you follow me around and I'll teach you the lake.
Thanks wilbur thanked you for this post
