    Default Chickamauga 04/01

Dad and I fished Saturday morning (04/01) and got off to a little bit of late start - we moved around more than expected but Dad and I wound up keeping 20 to clean. I also caught a really big shellcracker. Most of the fish caught between 4-8 feet of water were males and picked up the females on docks (I think we had 15 males and 5 females). The docks were 10-15' feet of water and the only throw backs we caught were on the docks (probably around 10 or so total). The females still had some eggs (only one fully loaded still) and most of the males were in their "tuxedos" - the pic below is not the biggest but the prettiest. The largest was a male just a little over 13". This is my first report so I hope the pics come out okay.

Good day and a real pretty male in his finest. I'll take a few of those redear anytime. Love them when they're fillet size.
