Looks like a nice day on the water

I had a short window of time between storms today, so I launched myself from Tyner Lane and stayed close. I ran to the fish that I located yesterday and they were still there.
When I first started to fish, the wind was rather calm. I hooked a nice crappie on the first cast, and while I was getting it in, taking pics, and putting it in the live well, the wind picked up something fierce. Just my luck.
But my I-Pilot was spot locked just perfectly, and I was able to keep my casts low as I was casting into the wind. Fishing with a 3/32 oz Bass Assassin 2" Crappie Dapper and letting the jig sink for a 15 count, and then slowly working the jig back to the boat, I was able to stay on the fish for a little while. I landed 6 nice keepers there and 2 shorts before moving to the America Fish tree to get out of some of the wind, where I picked up my last keeper.
Altogether, I fished about 1.5 hours before prudence told me to get my fanny off the water. I did and the fish are on ice awaiting the cleaning process.

Nice short trip! Glad you got out of the wind before the storm hit.![]()
Life is good. Fishing is better.
Nice fish! Congrats on a good short trip.
Glad it was a good trip, and some real nice fish. You have to teach me how to stand on your head and take a pic. That's real talent.
