Default 2.7 lb crappie from High Rock?

Has anyone heard about a 2.7 lb crappie caught within the last few days at High Rock? I saw the picture today that a friend took of it.

Haven't heard of this one. If it was caught they didn't make it to Hills or Tamarac for a pic. No talk from any locals either unless it happened the last few days. Not saying it didn't happen but 2.7 out of The Rock is news. I would love to see the pic if u have access to it! Also do you know if it was a local fisherman??

There are some big fish in high Rock. I know that for a fact . Not saying I have caught any but have seen several at tournaments and tackle shops.

Have not heard of any talk about it but I do know that there was a 2.655lb and a 2.92lb caught in the bigeyecrappieman at Harris Saturday. Maybe he got the lakes mixed up?

Okay I got the scoop on the crappie. It was 16 1/2" long and weighed 2.75 lbs. Here is the picture. It was caught in High Rock by a local fisherman.

Didn't somebody catch a state record white crappie a year or two ago at High Rock? I don't doubt there is a crappie that big in High Rock, just not as plentiful as other lakes.

There are a handful of big ones in there along with the millions of tater chips.

This has been a few years ago now, but was 1 oz. shy of 3 lbs.

I didn't know it was news.
