Default Lowrance HDS Touch SI and DI settings

ISO members preference for Lowrance HDS Touch with SI & DI:

Palette number for visualization of structure & crappie?

Preference for 455 kHz or 800 kHz in 20 ft FOW or less?

Preference for Sensitivity and Contrast settings?

    Thanks in advance!!!

I would agree with the above post, but I would also play with the blue palette and the red one in different situations. You will have to adjust the sensitivity differently for each palette color though. Try to get the screen pretty dark (with sensitivity adjustments) so you don't get the BRIGHT highlights in the middle. You will notice more details. But sometimes you just have to play with it. I use 455, 100% of the time.

I use 2d mostly. I turn on the fish ID. In my opinion, fish ID is the best feature and sonar has. It keeps my wife interest (shes believes) and keeps her from harping bout raking leaves.

I use grayscale on bright sunny days and blue on overcast days and blue at night. Sensitivity auto-6, 800 Khz. Contrast per sun brightness. Noise and surface clutter is on Low. This is all I recall. from use. I save all my settings to memory. I can recall the settings from internal memory anytime ( in case things get hosed).

If you are around the north end of Ky lake you should stop at Hytec outdoors, those guys are wizards on all depth finders. I had them set my unit up, it made a world of difference for me.

Substitute contrast for sensitivity on the side and down imaging. I should have said contrast. It's the same on gen2 touches if that is what you have. I don't know for sure on the not touch ones.
