Absolutely worth it and should be pretty easy to install. Imagine longlining where you just point the trolling motor in the direction you want to go and set a speed and the trolling motor does the rest while you attend to fishing, watching the fish finder, etc. Make occasional adjustments as needed from a remote control from anywhere in the boat. I really can't imagine longlining by myself without it.

Just put the Terrova iPilot in my pontoon. It is the best money I've spent in a long time. Saw it first in action while fishing with Micorps. After that, I couldn't sleep until I got one.

While you are at it get the ulterra with self reply/stow, it's a safety issue as you age. You don't have to lean over the edge of the boat to pull the motor up.
Thanks mac crappie thanked you for this post

The new terrovas have stow/deploy "assist" which really makes it easier, but does not do it for you.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.

Ultrex also has the assist and it really helps.
I have the i-Pilot link on a Ultrex, you can't believe how much it will help you, more the me to fish, etc.
