    I am pretty sure the built in transducer is 2d sonar only

    Yeah your right. In order to keep the DI I'm going to have to go with the air hose option.

    Just a follow up: I went with the air tuning method.

    This method works great however I do have some interference on the screen from the motor. Looks like I'm going to have to go to radio shack and pick up some blockers. I have the trolling motor and helix on separate power supplies and still get the interference.

    hey Duckcomando aint it fun cutting that air tubing it was a challenge to do it without losing a finger.

    Yeah it was lol I clamped it down to a table and it wasn't to bad but it does the job.

    i am fixing my Minnkota that way do you have a foot control with yours of just the remote control?

    Default Tranducer on motor guide xi5

    So I see that you all have figured a way to run the transducer line on the xi5 I'm about to do the same thing but how did u all mount the hose iv anyone can help pls let me know or show pics

    I just installed a Xi5. I loosely wrapped the tranducer cable around the lower shaft 5 times and then secured it to the front of the steering motor with a adhesive tie wrap mount. The cable just coils up when you lift the motor. After warping the cable, lift and stow the motor to make sure the cable coils correctly before securing it with a wire tie to the front of the steering motor. Also needs to be loose enough when deployed to allow the motor to turn it's full rotations.
