    Default Boating on Reelfoot Lake

I too am planning a trip there in mid March and wondered about the fishing there and also boating I have a 17.5 Deep V boat I want to bring with me and I get conflicting advice on bringing it, some say Deep V's are not good boats on Reelfoot because of all the stumps and others say as long as you go slow you shouldn't have problems.
Ant sound advice from experienced boaters on Reelfoot?

go slow and you will be ok. keep motor trimmed up and just ease along and you will be fine. you will hit stumps, but everybody does

I too will be visiting Reelfoot in early march for a few days. Any lake advise would be much appreciated. Do you guys usually use live bait or grubs?
