Yes, caught one crappie in first few minutes nothing after that. A nice 15", while loading a bass fisherman said he was finding them in 5 ft around piers in potato creek. I searched shallow but not around piers. I wasnt even marking fish in potato and wyboo creeks. I searched shallow around the trees between the islands across the the bay around the islands, up potato and wyboo creeks. Tough day. It worried me when i could even mark them. Braved the wind today on wateree and caught a few in new areas. Wind direction didnt allow me to fish familiar areas.

For some reason, Potato and Wyboo creeks are at there best after March arrives. It's like the fish have a calendar or something. lol

Henry is down at his cabin this week. He said they were catching them in the trees at Stumphole. He mainly fishes for Bream and Shellcrackers, but he will target Crappie on occasion.

micorps, All I say is Welcome to Santee fishing their biting everywhere except were you're fishing, can be fun but most of the time it's tuffer than fun.
