Russell is always full, unless we are in a very bad drought. There is some kind of agreement that it can't be low.I can tell you by looking at it everyday,it has plenty of water in it.

My cousins have a place on Russell in lowdensville. They have had it for over 20 years. Right now they are catching crappie in Dry Fork and Indian creek by casting jigs on the shoreline brush. The night bite has been pretty slow so far but will pick up soon. I am far from a good crappie fisherman, but I rely on their info when I go to Russell. A good number of shallow fish on the shoreline right now. 10-12' in most areas they fished.
