    Mine are just like that. Makes life a lot easier. Tying half hitches to finish works just fine too, I use a Materelli whip finisher just cuz I'm impatient. Way different than the other styles (Thompson maybe?). You tie a nice jig regardless.

    MY thread used to unravel too easily , so I decided
    To tighten things up by wrapping the thread around the leg of my bobbin first then use it,, helps a lot if you do it once around the leg of bobbin,, twice will make it too tight,,,
