    Default What are they worth?

Before I start the Craigslist hassle......I have a couple 2 cycles I need to sell, both start and run, and I believe both are somewhere in 1990s, but not sure. Looking for a ballpark price of what they are realistically worth, haven't done a lot of research yet. My preference would be a discounted pkg deal, but maybe not feasible to find someone to buy 2 motors......Anyways.....any thoughts?

Not sure what they are worth but I had one of those little Mercs a few years back...they are good motors.

I don't have a clue about the price but if you come up with one let me know I will pass it onto one of my friends he is looking for a small motor .

I would say the merc is worth $10, but I will give you $15. Be there in the morning to get it.lol Really, you need to figure the year of the motors, the condition and how much per blue book. A dealer may be able to help.

Thanks Thunder, I didn't know that NADA existed for small outboards.

Some further investigation based on serial numbers.

    1990 - 5 HP - Mercury - NADA Low Retail = $385
    1995 - 3.5 HP - Nissan - NADA Low Retail = $375

Guess I will start the asking price at $325 each or both for $550.

Looks like you have your price about right. I would take the first $500 offered for the pair.

I have no idea but small motors like that are hard to come by.
