Logan Martin Long Lining 2/6/17

Slipped off after lunch for a few hours to see if they were biting. Long lined in the Civic Center slough for about four hours and caught (5) spots and (4) crappie. It never really warmed up and the sun finally peaked out for a minute or two around 4:00. Water temp was 51.2 degrees from start to finish. Tried all depths but majority of fish came out of 12-16 FOW. Shad were thick in spots but seemed to have no bearing on hook-ups. Looks like it is going to be a little longer till they are ready to get started.

Thanks for the report. Glad you got to get out and get a few fish. I think it will be tough for our tournament folks Saturday to catch some good fish, but I'm sure someone will find them. Doesn't look like I will get to go before Friday.

Well, Saturday is a Full Moon phase, and the Accuweather report states Excellent for fishing. Ya just never know! Good luck!!
