I have used mine for years never any problem with mine. Maybe I just got the messed up one and it worked I don't know. And I have not poke myself since.
Mine kinda looks like a figure nail clipper
[QUOTE=jigfisherx;3357455]Got one, tried it, threw it in the trash. Must be more than one manufacturer.
useless dang things, don't work worth beans on smaller heads. I like this push pin idea, going to try it now.

GENIUS you are sir!!! Have one in each of my small boxes and frustration of dealing with no holes is OVER!
[QUOTE=set the hook;3357397]For those with bi-focals, bigger fingers, and not a lot of patience, I discovered an easy way to clean the paint from hook eyes. Take one of those push pins with the plastic knob on it for bulletin boards, and use it to clean out the paint. This worked great on the Bobby Garland Mo-Glo 1/32 oz. heads I bought yesterday at Bass Pro. Was easy because you had the plastic knob to push in to break the paint and then rotate to clean it out. And the best part ... not once did I stick myself or "set the hook" in my finger. Try it!
try it you will LOVE it. Thanks for this simple fix to a very frustrating problem and yes I have to put on my cheaters to tie line

Always used a pair of needle nose.... grab the eye of the jig and give a quarter turn. Paint flakes right off. 5/0 green carp hooks work well too. Punches right threw
