You missed the point. Why are they giving away free plywood.

Lol, Jimmy leaves a subject hangin' I get it, .. from our conversation Saturday after cutting the bamboo. A local contractor procured 35 sheets of plywood from a supply house for a donated charity. The charity is building pellet traps for a local High School ROTC rifle team, for practice. Cane never seen the plywood and the contractor has been incommunicado since last fall... So I advised cane to talk to the supply house let them know goods weren't received for said project.. it seems it worked out. And ya'll should applaud him for his efforts, building traps for a school is work, doubly so when you ain't seeking any compensation... besides free WORK

I talked to the lake manager at Butla a little while ago. We can bring the boo tops to any ramp area we wish, lay it to the side. We don't have to work in the areas they want us to on habitat day. Pretty much we can work where ever we wish. We can pick up any supplies we'll need before leaving the field house. I'll carry one load to Kelly's Crossing in the morning. Hopefully can deliver a second load before picking up grandson at school at 4:45. Where would we want it? I'm thinking Pleasant Point.

On the pellet trap, most places you go looking for donations want a tax number or be a charitable institute so they can write it off. The ROTC unit doesn't have either. They could use the school's information, but would have to share donations with all of the school. This other parent found a way around it some how. He supposedly had enough wood donated to build 10 traps and metal for all 20. I heard he built one and brought it to school. He didn't leave it for the cadets to use and grade it before building more. He hasn't finished the first and hasn't started on any others. I'm building one at my cost, $175 along with the donated material.

I don't care what thread Jimmy post on I can't wait to read it. There no telling what is going to be posted one minute we're talking about fishing poles then we're talking about making flower pot heater to air conditioning suits with blocks of ice and blower fans and then it can change to pouring lead to make muskets for a 1846 rifle then it goes to planting tomatoes and using asian carp for fertilizer

Met cane over at the residence we cut the bamboo at, we cleaned up and loaded 2 trucks down with the remaining tops we left Saturday. We carried them to the lake. Pleasant Hill was closed so Jimmy stopped at the office and had the rangers meet me at Plantation Point to unlock the gate and unload them, was to far for them to drive over to Pleasant Hill at the drop of a hat. Two nice Rangers, very appreciative of our participation in habitat day. They even helped me unload, took two seconds. Cane took his load to the south side. Still got a whole bunch to get and not a lot of time to get it.
