Just heard from Vicki (Doug's better half) and he is out of surgery. All went well and now the PT starts. Keep praying - for him and the PTA who has to put him through the therapy.

Good news. The healing and patience from here on out is the key! Stay strong Doug. And Mrs. Vicki, do whatever means necessary to keep him in line!

    From Doug ...

Surgery went well. Just got to room 509 about 30 minutes ago. Please pass word along on the forum.

He's in Murray Calloway County Hospital ...

He says he will be ready for visitors starting Tuesday (1-24-17) ...

Hang in there I had mine done in January 2015, wow what a ride it was for the first five weeks, all I can tell you is therapy, therapy, therapy, keep that knee moving!!! I have a gravity feed ice pack, you place ice/ water in the round cooler, place it above your knee on a table or end table, wrap it with the Velcro Pad it, feeds ice water to the knee wrap and it works great, Beats the heck out of messing with ice packs, bought it on Amazon after doing some research. let me know if you need it, I'm in Cadiz, you are more then welcome to have it, best thing I bought!!! Need any other advice on how to get over the hump, let me know.

The ice cooler is the cat's meow. My dad bought one for his shoulder surgery recovery, and has used it with his last back surgery.
His comments mirrors wmac's! Hang in there Doug.
