haven't tried both of them, but Brad Whitehead has sold a bunch of Richard's rods in the last couple of weeks. At our tournament yesterday, 3 teams used Richard's rods and they gave great reports on them. I am about to purchase 4 myself.

Being someone who fishingh for more than Crappie I have the opprotunity to try these rods in other applications. I spend as much time trout fishing and light line bass fishing as I do crappie fishing and can say for myself that I now own 12 of the Richard Williams rods. Anywhere from 7' up to his 12'. Great casting rods and having used B&M for some time I found the RW rods much more durable. I a not belittling the B&M Company in any way but I would tell anyone, and have, to buy some of his rods and truly see what a perfectly matched rod feels like. I had experienced some quality issues with B&M on eyes and replaced myself. I have had the RW rods for sometime and other than comman wear and tear the are VERY durable.

Can't help but smile reading these post again. Still using 2 of the 7.5 ft Richard Willams rods. Using them to fish 1/8th oz jigs up to 30ft deep. Single pole fishing ledges and brush. Hard to beat, and only wish I had bought 6 more. That way I could have horded them back for later use.
