    Default Wateree report 1-13-16

Day started off great quickly catching up to 10 or so crappie in 35-40 fow after getting on the water by 9am. After catching a few, i noticed the boats coming in on me, then more boats idling by stopping after seeing me catching fish, before i know it i have 5 boats in close proximity right on my tighting lining depth forcing me shallower, causing confusing with snags and trying to reset lines before getting frustrated and leaving, i really wish people fishing would put the time in i have to find fishing spots instead of waiting for me to find them. Some boats around me would move right on spots i caught some and sit there prohibiting me from tight line back over the spot. Really frutrated with people right now. Upper part of the lake was very muddy and unfishable, i had a couple buddies get skunked for crappies also. Makes sense why i got crowded out of my spot, but nothing to do or say, its a public lake. Anyways end of rant. Heres some pics of the 13 i kept, and one nice catfish and striper to end the day. I took a photo also of the humminbird to give people an idea of the structure i look for to fish. Tim

Nice catch Tim I am glad you got out and caught some. That is the problem fishing on sat when everybody else is off. They have no manners and will crowd you out of your fishing spots. It is frustrating but what can you do. Thanks for sharing. I don't have any news from my test. I got to go Tuesday to start rehab. Don

I did that to someone by accident yesterday.
I saw bait on the scope, looked around and thought a near by boat was anchored,
Turns out he was moving at the correct and very slow speed,
He went around and just kept going but I knew I screwed up.
    Sometimes it's an accident

I don't know if this is applicable to you or not, but this might be the reason why a moderated forum was added for people to post about their fishing trips where only the members could read them. I know it has happened to me many a times and is the main reason why I don't post about my trips much anymore. There are just soooooooo many lurkers reading posts trying to figure out where youre fishing so they can reap "your" rewards of catching 'em without going thru any trouble what so ever of having to get out and do their own homework finding the fish.

Still, sounds like you had a pretty good day. Thanks for your post. Enjoyed the read and the pictures. Congrats.

i was thinking the same, but the first three boats was a matter of catching fish and either moving across to where i was or stopping because of catching crappie in front of them while cruising by watching me. Not sure if the others boats stopped because they saw so many boats clustered. Pretty obvious some were shadowing me to see why i was fishing certain spots hard. Showed very poor judgement, was nice seeing karma first hand when they caught a few fish if any. I agree many only come here to figure how and where people are catching fish and not contribute. All my reports will go in the moderated forum for now on.

I'm a lurker and I can't stop. I read through your finger tips and now I know where you were, thanks Tim!.
I know the feeling Tim. They mostly saw you catching. People know just like striper fishing to go where the boats are and watch. If you can the next time hold your rod down and wait until they past you by. Then bring you fish in over the side low and slow. My brother in laws daddy never let any one see him land a fish even if he lost it. Some times I was in the boat with him and never knew he had one in the boat.
Post your report where Butch said and maybe you want get crowded out. It's the same up here for us but most of us don't care because it's not a real secret about Torrance branch, Big Allison or Little Allison. These are popular places on the lake. thanks for sharing and good luck next time out. Be sneaky! LOL

Tim congrats on your catch. Hate you were pushed off your spot as it will only get worse as the spring gets closer. You will amazed at some of them parking right on top of you.
Keep making those great reports and take Gabowmans advice and post on the Moderated forum.
