Thanks guys I can't say it any better than Spaceman did "excellent info". I plan to check the 2 bait shops here in Decatur and then Academy and Cabela's for the paint. I would prefer to buy from one of the locals...if Busters had of had it today I would have picked up some to play with. I am down in my back so sitting around and working on my tackle is about all I feel like doing.

Pro-Tech paints cost around $8.99 per 2 oz jar... I get my Black, Red, White and Yellow powder paint from Harbor Freight Store for $5.99 for 16 oz size containers. Take a 20% to 25 % off coupon and get it for $4.49 to $4.79 can't beat the price and works just as good as any other for jigs and blades... All other colors I order online...

Aight. JMHO...... I fished only red and chartreuse heads for many years. I hooked up with a guy only using plain heads and he out fishes me 3-1 most days. I went to plain and never looked back. He proved to me over a year that spike it tipped jigs are more important than head colors on our lake.

I never paint heads. Fish with some who do and they dont catch any more than I do. Also on Weiss you lose so many that it is a waste of time

Spaceman, I am hoping my back is getting better and I can go back to work Monday. However I have plenty of vacation and Saturdays are always open if you want to get together sometime.

BamaMan thanks for the information. I will try to get to Harbor Freight today with my 20% off coupon if the weather allows and pick up a color or 2 to try out.

Sometimes I paint mine, if I don't have anything to do, I fish pink heads a lot , and unpainted also I can't tell a difference between the two. I guess it is what you have confidence in that makes the difference.
