Clinton lake yesterday got about 8 keepers and 8 not keepers a small walleye many white bass and s bluegill. Fished noon to 430. When I started it was windy white bass bite was good. At end of day wind died down crappie picked up white bass died down. I lost no hooks for once. Used a crappie magnet and jig under bobber and cast a slider grub and jig either technique worked good

The bite at Clinton for crappie has been good for me also. Most active fish in the lower to mid 50 degree mark. Very few smalls average fish 10-1/2". Fish caught between 2 and 10 feet deep, all casting sliders. Corks have produced better in the 40 degree water. Best action early at day break. The cold snap coming will probably slow things down.
