Woke up early and decided I needed to feel the tug of a slab, Temp was 48, Wind was about 10mph, Lake was slightly choppy so out I went, long lining, speed was just over 1mph thanks to the wind. First fish was a 14 1/2" slab. Ended up with 12 slabs and 14 bass. Bass are schooling in about 7 foot, Slabs were in 8-10ft. Had a great 3 hours. Today was one of those days that color and style was not important. Caught them on grubs, twist tails, and Hal-Flys. I was using Blue, Cotton Candy, white, pink, green, yellow, gray, and purple, they hit them all.

Good day on the water CD.....I hear ya on the color choices, like yesterday everything worked....never been sold on that bright colors on sunny days & dark colors on cloudy days thing....
crappie down !
You missed a picture. Nice catch.
A good day CD, and some really nice fish. Everyone can have their own best times to go, but I think I do better in between the new and full moons. Don't do near as well when I hit em dead on either one. Glad you had a Banner day.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
Dad always taught me to always share, There's plenty of fish for everyone. Dad always let everyone know where they were biting. Because of his openness I feel the fishing gods smiled upon him and gave him limit after limit, even when others were getting skunked.
My son and I still fish out of dad's boat (the one below). people always ask me what I look for on my fish finder, I use no electronics, Just the little blue boat, a 1966 Mercury 9.8 and a trolling motor. not the fastest boat on the lake but what it lacks in speed it more than makes up for with luck.

Wayyyy to go! Man, you guys North of me, have really been putting a hurtin on those specks lately.![]()
What time is it?IT'S CRAPPIE TIME!
The traffic and a couple of health issues keep me from venturing your way.
The pits in Mulberry and Bartow are doing much better with the specks, than the pits at Tenoroc in Lakeland. When the wind allows, I have been fishing some of the smaller Lakes in the area.
If you decide to come to Lakeland, send me a PM, if I can help with some info I will.
