Yep. Cut the jig and tell her. Keeping it a secret will earn you a smaller dog house. Or, your wife might appreciate you washing your fishing clothes separately so they don't get mixed with hers. Then you can have jigs to retrieve from your clothes.

Fishing is a privilege...catching is a bonus. Enjoy each precious moment we have to experience our great outdoors!

Cut the jig, get together with your jig-tying friend, and have him make up a bunch of those jigs. Or you can do what I did a few years ago: Start tying your own jigs. The main thing is to NOT get cross-wise with the wife (at least, not any more than usual).

Look on the bright side. At least you did not have a pack of shrimp in your pocket from wade fishing.

Bite the bullet and just tell her, and that you'll buy her new socks. Better to tell the truth, take the heat (so the next time you screw up you might get away with it!!)

But gotta ask, why would you put in your shorts pocket???LMAO!!!!

Think I myself would of course put blame on her......After being married 41 years she should know better than not to check my pockets.......GOD knows all the crap I've left in them over the years. Of course never a jig .
