    Is that close?
In that 4oz of liquid plastic yields 4oz of finished product?

Weight is weight. you don't measure out 4 fluid oz in a measuring cup, you weigh out 4oz of plastic. so if 10 baits weigh 1 oz, you calculate that there is 128oz per gallon, 128 x 10 = 1280 per gallon of plastic. you do need to remelt all leftovers to get this number but it will get you close.

Lurecraft; says you should be able to pour approximately 700, 6 in worms at approx .4 cents from 1 Gallon of their plastic. Can reduce cost by remelting. A 2 in curly tail grub Should be able to pour Approx 2000-2500 grubs.

Math is a little off there, 700 6" worms out of a gallon at $63.25 (add in shipping as well so that will increase your costs) make them 9 cents (not .4 cents) each. Easiest way to find out is to mix a cup and see how many you can get, then multiply by 16.

Ok $63.25 \ $3.19= just under 20 x 27 = 540 baits, Bass pro. Wally world would cost less. Now add colorant and flake and molds. If you think it's going to save you money to make your own. Nope it won't. Fun to make your own. Oh yes it is. The kick you get catching a fish on a bait you made, Is something you won't forget.

Well, Buying gallons at Lurecraft is likely your most costly way to make them.
And a more realistic mathmatic equations is as follows.
5.25 Stick bait weighs in at 11 Grams, Approximately, Works out to 352 Stick baits per gallon no salt etc.
165.00 for 6 gallons of plastic delivered. Depending on location.
    1950 Stick baits @ .084 Each
    .84 per 10 pack, Gary Yamamoto 6.99 per 10 Pack. .69 Each...

6" trick style worm should weigh closer to 8 grams a piece.
