Wow, that's some really nice looking fish. Wish Wylie had a few of those swimming around to give us a flutter of the heart!
Congratulation on a great day fishing!

I lived 5 miles from the ramp there for 9 years and must say I know how much of an accomplishment that is to catch fish like that in any of the city lakes there. All of the stunted weird looking crappie in those lakes would frustrate the crap out of me. Way to go, that is a record day for that lake IMO!

Very nice fish indeed, I have fished there a couple of times and always found decent fish but nothing like that, WTG, I caught my first ever 2lb crappie in lake Higgins about 2 years ago.
You're killing me over here! I live 3 miles from Townsend so it's always been my home lake. Wow has it changed since I started fishing again. I thought the crappie had been evicted. I think I've caught one on my old brush piles in five trips since Nov and I was worried something serious had happened to it. I know the water clarity is only a foot or so when it used to be 5 ft.
Man, nice looking fish!. Nice yellow rods, tooI have a handful of those myself - use to use them for longlining, but mostly just for nightstalking now - they work great for vertical fishing.
Nice fish. Don't take many of those to make a nice meal.
