Had a great week at Kentucky Lake. Wind kept us in the bay for all but two days, but we caught a LOT of fish. Not nearly as many largemouth or smallmouth as we had hoped, but ended up with 13 species, including a few nice crappie that hit a bass lure. Now it is time to concentrate on the crappie. Plan to hit one of the St. John triplets on Thursday or Friday, then out again with SWMBO on Saturday. Planning (and hoping)to be on the water twice a week as often as possible.

Congrats on a fun trip.
Congratulations on the trip planning on fishing it one day
That lake is on my bucket list. Now that I see a pic of you and your boat, we launched side by side last time I fished Phantoms yard. Good luck out there.
I look forward to meeting you Nov 5th

Looks like you picked a perfect week weather wise, my brother-n-law's wall mount crappie was lost around the corner from the Big Bear Resort, there's some bona fide brutes in that lake, we unfortunately caught 2 back to back cold fronts our week trip in the spring many years ago, but had 1 gem of a day to know it's worth a revisit....thanks for reminding me
crappie down !
Made my first trip there in the spring of 1979. A group of us has been going back every year since. (Sometimes three times in a year.) Job and health had kept me away for four years - so, you know I was "Jonesing" for this trip. Already counting the weeks until the spring trip. But, first, there are a lot of crappie to be hunted down here in Florida. And, I have a lot to learn from you guys. Looking forward to SlabTogether @ Monroe.
Maybe some of us Sunshine Boys should plan a road trip.![]()
