It was sure nuff pretty early on but that wind got up and I was glad I hadn't taken the day off to fish. Good day there mister.

got up on time this morning. I was down at the ramp by 6:30 AM. I was the first boat in the lot, but not for long. Before I finished staging the boat, two more boats pulled into the parking lot. By the time I launched the boat and parked the truck, there was a third boater. I was getting on the water before sun up.
I made the run to the old power plant and stopped to set up. The wind was wrong, coming out of the NE, pushing me towards the shore. I tried it for a little bit with no luck, then decided to re-position to the other side to go with the wind. That did a better drift but no better on the fish. Pulled the rods and ran back to OPP.
I set up around the can buoy and dropped the trolling motor. The other boats must have had the same plans, there was a group of us now.
I didn't take long before the first fish was in the boat. It was slow but steady action the rest of the morning. I circled around the area about three times before heading in.
The count for the morning was 8 specks and one sunshine. I was off the water by 11 AM.
What a great way to spend the morning.
another good day at the office !

Thanks for the report, seen many boats from I-4 yesterday, was thinking something must be happening on the water....

Ain't no better way to spend the morning than fishing and catching some to. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the share. I'm going to try Monroe tomorrow (Friday). Looks like it will be breezy again. Was going to go to Harney, but they are spraying the lake for mosquitoes. That can't be good for the fishing.
