I don't see owning a bait store as retirement. You're up early, stay late, and don't have time to fish. I'm doing that, now.

Well Lake Washington is absolutely on fire right now. We fished Thurs- Sun and averaged 70+fish per day. Caught 110 on Sat. Thing that surprised me was the quantity of fish 10" and under. We did catch some nice 1.5lb /2+ but nothing like in the spring( and yes fish are bigger in the spring). Pattern was 13/15ft of water and 4/10 ft deep. Shallow in morning and deeper as sun got up. Wind direction was key on where to fish as the fish moved towards ends of lake the wind was blowing. We rigged and 90 percent of fish came on a chartruese/lime jig w lead head on bottom of rig. Also for anyone wanting a place to stay, Roys was great but Id buy my minnows at Bait n thangs even though they are more you'll come out ahead in the end. Also feel the limit really needs to be changed on the lake to help increase the size. Great lake for quantity but seems overall size is down compared to past.

ANYTHING....for you BMR!!! Hey, why don't you join us on the 18-20? My "spies" down there tell me it is usually great bout that time. That's the second week end of our gun season for deer up here and I don't want to be anywhere close to timber when that happens.

You'd be surprise, or maybe not, how many city folks fm St. Louis area come down here, buy a gun, new camo clothes, new boots, ammo, don't sight anything in, get liquored up in a smokie bar in their camo clothes the nite before opening, stay up all nite, and head to the timber. Then claim on Monday they been deer hunting......I just really don't get it. You ought have to take a test for.... "Hunter Stewpit".... before you can buy any of the above mentioned items. lol Had a fella several years ago shot a man's goat, simply cause it had horns on it's head.

Were you using jigs with minnows or jigs alone?
