    Default Lake Washington Help


    Headed down to Lake Washington, Thurs-Sun. Taking my 76 yr old dad and was hoping someone could give us some helpfull advice or tips as this could be his last trip to Ms and want it to be a successful one. We are equiped to spider rig or jig. Thanks for any help.

    Mike took a job with the city of Greenville I think but thought they were going to keep the baitshop open.

    Kmastr...to your question. This time of year they are starting to "feel the fall" so to speak. If nite time temps get down into the mid/low 50's they'll try to start coming a little shallower. Look for shad balls or the Mississippi Fish Finder (white diving birds). They'll be on the shad, generally. Depending on where you're launching, I'd try South of Roy's in 12-15 fow, fishing 4-6 feet down, in the middle of the lake and start pushing minners REALLLLY slow. Absent that I'd push them on the West side out a few yards from the tree line in 6-9 fow. Other than that...look for the boats!! Hope you guys have a great time. Beautiful lake and great people.
