    Default Cedar Creek Lake

I fished ckl on Sunday. Launched at 530pm as night fishing was the plan. I found some fish before dark, caught 12 keepers before 7 with a few smaller fish in the mix using minnows. The bite came to a sudden stop at 7. I trolled around searching the area and couldn't find them. I went to another spot and fished under my light and caught 5 more keepers on jigs. They didn't want minnows after dark. The bite was extremely light, all I would feel was tension on my line. I know I missed a few because I couldn't detect the bite.

Thanks for that mccowan. I was there Friday night...didn't put in till after dark back at the steep ramp. Didn't even fire the big motor. Caught 26 n about half were keepers. A couple were purty good ones with shoulders. All on minnows. I didn't even try a jig that night...probably should have. I know what you mean on the light bite. Had to keep close watch...many times I just saw the line go slack, lift and there he was. Not nearly as aggressive as a month ago down there. I've had a good year @ Cedar 2016. And I ain't quit yet.
