Default Crappie weekend on millers ferry

Kept 39 Saturday afternoon fishing minnows in 5' of water. We ran out of minnows but went back Sunday morning and put 27 in the box by replacing the minnows with jigs. Bit the jigs better. We either cast the jigs or put them under a slip cork
First pic is Saturday. Second is Sun morn

Honestly - I could catch very few crappie except the spring and fall in this lake. I read one of your post where you said you thought most lakes that connect to the river(like mine) had a resident population of crappie. I started looking harder and sure enough I have been catching them consistently since February - all summer. Thanks - you straight up taught me something very valuable!
