Thread: The crappie are biting.... Moss lake

Hadn't been crappie fishing in about 6 weeks,hit the water about 8 am this morning, took a little while to find them but we figured them out,water temp was 80 when we got there, cloudy, they were on the brush in 16 to 22 feet in or near the creek channels, the further you got away from channel the less fish , vertical jigging, 2 of us, give up at 2 pm, left them biting! had to get home by 3, put 151 crappie in the boat along with a few bass and brim. The crappie were 8 to 12 inches, should have had a cooler today, had a lot of good filleting fish , I'll have the cooler next time, all were released. Didn't have time for many pictures......



All in all a good day.
