    Default Jig heads

What do you use and where do you get them? I usually just pick some up at the big box stores but the quality is usually not that good and the eyelets are almost always painted closed. I mostly long-line and occasionally spider-rig off the front.

I have all of mine custom made by members of this site.

I get weedless heads, unpainted, in 1/32oz & 1/16oz, with #2 Aberdeen hooks (in both sizes) from Grousefly. (P&S Custom Tackle)

I have purchased painted heads from Slabeye (but I'm not sure he's still doing heads). He also makes some great plastics (Slab-a-nator Jigs).

There are several other members that do painted jigheads, as well. The great thing about buying from our members is that you have more options on head weight, colors, hook size, hook style, hook color, head shape, etc. than what most box stores carry.

You got a member in Ga. that sells jigs. His screen name is Litewirehooker or something close to that. I have bought jigs from him and he is good to Deal with I think he can do about any kind you want. One of you guys put a link up for him, I can't do it from my tablet very well.

I use all types: Stump Hunters, Crappie Country, Road Runners, hair jigs, small cranks, etc. Mostly 1/16, but occasionally 1/8 and 1/32. Part of the fun is finding something different that's working, and maybe your fishing buddy doesn't have!

Curtis at Litewire hooks . I really like them for longlinning they will hold a 5 lb bass easily but will straighten out and bend back easily if hung up.
