I have fished Butla the last 2 days and could only muster,1 crappie, a drum, and a slimer.Suspended fish everywhere and could not get bit.Gotta go back to fishing during the week.Too much boat traffic.I saw a dumb Arse in a 25 ft. ski boat cut back into his own wake and almost rolled that boat over with 6 people in it in Musconi Cr.Why would you want to knee board in 4 ft. of water?

I put in at Hernando point Saturday..launching was no problem..taking out took over 30 minutes. Water fleas pulling down the ramp blocking it to unload. Dang jet skis everywhere...there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy whatever they want to do. It would help if people were courteous to others, and used commons sense. Being retired is a plus in this case...I only fish on the weekend when I have to...

They are dumb, only go to the lake once or twice a year. Have no clue how shallow the water is. What has always terrified me is watching them pulling kids on tubes or ski's across spots that are shallow and bottom covered with stake beds 6 in under the water. Amazed no one gets hurt bad down there.

That lake is a tough one for me! My last trip there back earlier in summer got skunked on crappie! Caught 1 drum. It can humble a guy! Out of the big 4 its amazing how much more bait fish that lake has. Bait wads constantly on graph it seems.

I watched 1 ski boat blow by me and stop right before they got to the cypress trees in the back of Musconi cr.I don't know how they didn't run aground. The boat that almost swamped their own boat had Greenday playing so loud you could hear it across the lake!I'll be glad when it turns colder!

post a detailed map of the lake and all the stake beds as a public service. Don't want a kid to get hurt.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

lol the only people that look at lake maps are fishermen. Not skiers. Sounds like u just want some easy stakebeds to fish

Not me!!!! I am just a civic minded person with only the purest of intentions!!! Thinking only of those poor uninformed skiers.

There is no sense in littering the lake bottom with sunken boats and jet skis. For my own safety, please provide these maps so that we all may return home to our loved one's!!
