Pray for the winds to blow those rain clouds our way. Our cracks in the ground are getting dangerously wide here. Ponds are drying up and fish need water.

Hope the best for you PS. I used to have to worry like that and accepted it as a way of life but 5 years ago I moved 40 miles north up on the hill and we pray for rain daily. Good luck to you.
Every day is a holiday and every meal is a picnic.
Well, just looking at the radar the rain may be over...water in the ditch is falling......just gotta wait and look out for backwater....last time (1990) this happened when the local rivers filled up, the water ran backwards in the ditch and into the backyard....we will not be safe till the end of next week.....thanks guys for all the Prayers, offers of help and phone calls...we will be OK whatever....

Bruce you keep the cat and Didi safe, and don't forget the boat. Our prayers are with you and all those affected by the sudden rise of water. Just an idea of how fast the water is rising. Here is a graph showing the rise in the Tangipahow River near Amite, La. It rose from 5 1/2 feet at midnight to near 30 now. Many are trapped in low areas as the rising water cut off the escape routes.
