That's what we are having. Get you some thin cut steaks, tenderize them, and marinade for a short while. The Texas style I grew up with - saltine crackers with flour with whipped eggs and cream to dip them in:
Yes, this works right here:
We will having that with fresh mashed tators and a thick cream gravy. What's interesting to note is that Ann (a Kentucky girl) didn't know how to make a white gravy when I met her decades ago. Had to show her. Since yesterday was national cheese cake day, we'll be having that for a leftover dessert that she made yesterday.

There are at least 1000 restaurants in Texas who make the best #1 voted chicken fried steak in the world.By the way, those look great. Don't forget a little hot sauce. I use Louisiana brand.also, sometimes I just put the gravy on the mashed potatoes and use a little Heinz 57 sauce to dip the meat in. For some reason I like that flavor on chicken fried meats.
Looks delicious got any leftover
You just brought back some good old memories. We ate that a lot. It was my favorite meal growing up. Mom called them veal cutlets. She always served them with smothered green beans and mash potatoes drowned with milk gravy. I do the same with venison but I bread them with Italian bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
Looking good Randy........some fine eatin'.......

what cut of steak do you use? This is one of my favorite meals in a resteraunt. However, I've had some pretty bad ones. I always ask the waitress if they are battering the steak and frying it fresh or is is something pre-made sitting in a freezer that you drop in grease? These look real good. I have never done it myself. Gonna have to try it.
