A friend has floated the Mississippi and the Yukon rivers in a kayak. He got dropped one day at Black Rock . Called 10 days later from Russelville. One thing to float downriver another to paddle upstream.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and
a gun the goes bang when it is supposed to go click.

I met some guys several years back in the Bay Springs lock. They had put a pontoon in at Memphis and motored down the Mississippi, across the Intracoastal to Mobile and had come back up the TennTom. Someone was picking them up at Pickwick.

It's an interesting journey. I guess for some, it's the equivalent to climbing Mt. Everest. Waaaay more skeeters on the river tho. Adventure Bound

When I was in my teens, me and a couple of my buddies built a raft and floated from Money MS on the Tallahatchie River all the way down to Vicksburg on the Yazoo. It was a long trip with lots of skeeters........

I'd rather have an aluminum prop that aint worth a flip absorb the damage and get ruined than have a stainless prop that stands up to the damage and my lower unit get ruined.

A guy was floating the Mississippi on a kayak a year or so ago and decided to make a stop in Memphis. Beached the yak under a bridge and walked into town for supplies and when he returned the kayak, like anything else in Memphis that is not nailed down, was long gone. I think one of the local outdoor outfitters raised money to get him a new one.
