    Default Smith lake report

Been fishing the lights at Smith last couple weeks. Been very hit or miss for me. 7-3 caught 12 keepers and 10 or so shorts, 3 nights later went back and only caught 2 shorts. Went back 7-12 caught 15 keepers and had 5-7 shorts. Went 7-17 caught 9 keepers and had 20+ shorts. Best bait had been BG monkey milk fishing a 1/16 or 1/32 head according how they want it.

Way to keep on them. Just proves that they are moving around.

I'm just the opposite, I'm so soft I won't get out in the heat. It way too hot for this fat boy during the day. Already have to work in it so I'm definitely not fishing in it. Been wanting to pull some cranks for awhile but can't make myself go.

What depth docks are you fishing? How deep were the crappie?

A couple of the docks were sitting in 70ft of water right on the main lake catching them about 20-25ft deep. then the others were in some sloughs right off the main lake with docks sitting about 25-40ft catching them about 15-20ft deep. Theromcline was around 18-22ft deep on my graph so i guess they were hanging around it
