Nmolina and I had a great time at Wister. Huge thanks to all the sponsors, Fisherman's Net and to WSD for all the donations, Hosting the tournament and all the hard work that went into making this tournament happen. We never found any big fish or any schools of fish. We picked up most of our fish in 3.5-4' of water on Friday and Saturday fishing cedars and a few pecans that someone had put in the coves. Once we got 1 or 2 fish it was time to move on. Not all piles produced. I mostly used Single Timmy Toms with a Pearl/Chart bait and Slabslobber. Tried several other colors but didn't have much luck. Picked up 4 off minnows about 2 feet under cork sat morning but the fish were not much bigger then the minnows we were using. We learned a lot about that lake and now have a much better idea of the layout which will help for the classic. Thanks again to everyone who had a part in making this tournament a great one. Cant wait to get back on it in Sept.
That's is some really good fish especially for the middle of July. Nice job fellas even if that dang old Fireman put the pictures sideways.
Doug, (Odie)
I appreciate you posting how you and Brian (EB) catch your fish. This helps us less experienced crappie fishermen get better. Thanks
