Just wanted to let everyone know the details on the Wister tournament. Robert (WSD) has secured Fisherman's Net for our check-in and weigh in. It is on Hwy 270 in the curve on the east side of the road before you get to Quarry Island. They cook breakfast there so come and eat before the tournament. They have everything you need for the tournament: minnows, ice, plastics...etc. Our sponsors for this tournament are Bonehead (4) rods, baits and jig heads , Ken Roberson (2 Huckabee Rods), Outlaw Rods (2), G-Daddy Baits $25 gift certificate and Timmy Tom Jigs.
Check-in: 0430-0530
Fishing hours: 0600-1230 (subject to change morning of tournament depending on weather)
Weigh-in: 1300 (subject to change morning of tournament depending on weather)
Everyone will leave at 0530, start fishing at 0600 and quit fishing at 1230, must be at weigh-in by 1300
7 fish limit, must be alive
Entry Fee: $60 per boat/includes big fish and $20 per man if you haven't already paid your yearly membership
Any questions call Robert Robinson @ 479 431-7844. Robert works nights so call between 1200 & 1700

Common sense isn't always that common!
I just talked with WSD, and he is on some great fish. This will be a great tourney to come too. The weights should be high. WSD said he would be fishing this weekend if anyone needed some pointers, he would be more than happy to share if you contact him. I will see you guys the 16th!
There will great prizes. They will be raffled off, not just to who wins the most. So who ever enters, will have a great opportunity to take something home. The fishing is spotty but they do exist. I went down Saturday, and put 7 in a cage for next Saturday. Some BBQ could twist my arm to tell what tree they are tied up too!

Man TC- those are 7 nice fish! Hope you tied up some minners with em so they don't go hungry.
I would offer you some BBQ but I know how delicate your tummy is and I did use a pinch of cayenne in the rub. (-;
Fishers and I have a cabin on the lake. If anyone else is looking for a place to stay, we have room if you want to bring a cot or something.
I first want to say a big thank you to everyone who contributed to the Wister Okie crappie.com tournament. The tournament was a huge success due to the work of Robert (WSD), the sponsors who contributed, and the fishermen and fisherwomen who participated. Robert set up the check in and weigh in site and garnered most all the sponsors. Our Sponsors were Bonehead Tackle, Ken Roberson (Starfish), Timmy Tom Jigs, Crooked Hook Bait & Tackle, Outlaw Rods, G-Daddy Baits, and Mark Goines. If I forgot anyone let me know. A big thank you to Fisherman's Net for hosting the check-in and weigh-in, they opened at 0430 with a breakfast buffet. Here is a run down on sponsors contributions: once again correct me if I left anyone out or got the contribution wrong.
Bonehead Tackle: 4 rods, 25 tackle packs
Ken Roberson : 2 Huckabee Rods
Timmy tom Jigs: 2 tackle boxes of various weed less jigs
Crooked Hook : 1 Huckabee Rod, 1 Outlaw, and 1 quantum reel
Outlaw Rods: 2 Outlaw rods
G-Daddy Baits: $25 gift certificate
Mark Goines: 2 Leatherman tools
We figured it all up and that is over $1500 worth of prizes!
Thank you to everyone!!
