Thread: Did Anybody Go Fishing This Weekend?

NOPE=== not sense July 4th

I have my grandkids here so I am going Monday and Tuesday night if the thunderstorms don't run us off. Stripers on Monday, gonna try something new and different Tuesday. Stay tuned.

Had and got that work thing going on. Six day break not getting here fast enough. Plus, got Doctor appointments coming up for surgery on my knee again. I need a cortisone shot in it now. Don't have much time to get fishing in before it happens. I will try to get some in some where.

I went yesterday. Only caught about 8 crappie and a few bass and catfish off brush piles. Before it got to hot and ran off the lake.

I have been putting out some brush piles but have not been fishing. Mainly because I have no confidence I can go out and find and catch fish right now in my area of the lake. Maybe getting some more brush piles out will help. Speaking of which, anyone happen to know where I can get some bamboo close to McCormick/Plum Branch area?

Don, I did sneak off for awhile this morning and fished from daylight until 9:45AM. I caught 22 crappie, a few perch and a catfish. Out of the crappie I brought home 12 big enough to eat. (I cleaned 6 on the bone as I like those from time to time too.) The water temp was 86.5* at daylight. I caught all fish in water from 7'-12' deep pilling single 1/32nds with sliders and curly tail grubs.. Sorry...no pictures today. I only had two good crappie about 13" long and the rest I kept were 9"-10" fish.

Don please let me know when you are going, i was thinking getting out saturday or sunday morning if i can get registration numbers made in time.
