A friend and I are going to try pulling cranks Thursday early. Will be coming out of Jackson, MS. Want to go to Grenada, Enid, or Okatibbee. Wind is predicted to be S OR SSW 5-10 and closer to 10 after 9am. If fishing grenada going to be in the skuna area. Looks like that wind might blow right in that area. Recon it would be worth the trip? Not fishing for keepers per se just want to catch fish. I know okatibbee would be ok early.
Any and all suggestions appreciated

CrappieJim, have you given up on the Rez.? I pulled bandit 300's today from Roses bluff to up past clear lake to marker 3/4 area from about 11 till 4:30. 6 Baits out, 40 to 50 feet of line in the water, 16 to 31ft. depth, 1.8 to 2.8 mph. Snagged one catfish......

Haven't given up. Just want to try other places. I haven't been able to find any fish in Barnett at any consistent depth or water level. We fished it in the S curve and near 43 bridge yesterday and caught one drum

I pulled my pontoon boat all the way up to Enid last friday, set up my tent( with air conditioner), went out for a little while friday afternoon down close to Long Branch but didn't get a bite. Started trolling Saturday morning about 8, just managed to get all 8 rods out and motor started to stall. Couldn't make it idle right so I packed it up and pulled it back to Pearl . Managed 1 dink......

Against my better judgement I went up the lake from Cossar Park and set rods out close to where Long Branch creek meets the river. Nobody was out there. There were a number of boats out from the mouth of Bean Creek to the levee. I should have gone there instead I guess....
