Rotax will in the ultra lights. Just me I guess, always wanting the best that works. Why not spent an extra 10 cents a gallon when you know you have real fuel? The Lafayette area has plenty of ethanol free pumps, as well as Toledo Bend, etc.
I thought we were talking about outboards ("May be fine for a boat")....now, if he was looking at an "airboat" that's a different story....

The non ethanol gas where I live is anywhere from 50 cents to a buck a gallon more and then your not sure if its really non ethanol....its a rip off. But I have been useing ethanol in my four stroke fuel injected outboard for 10 years now with no problems....I mix Yamaha ring free....and Marine Stabil with it....have a water separator filter in line and I replace the cartridge once a year.

If it ant broke why fix it .unless u just want too . If your current Boat is paid for and you really like the boat and its not having issues I would run it until it started giving trouble then bite the big bullet spend the extra bucks on a good 4 stroke motor then u will have something that will last a life time if it's taken care of.

Go to a couple of dealers and price the cost of replacing your engine. Same hp? Could a smaller engine suffice?
. Are you a diy person? If so, your cost just went down . Also add in the cost of the "extras" of a new to you boat. Titles, plates, registration, and anything you might include in the sale of your boat. That you'll buy new for the other boat.

My brother has a boat just like that one but with a 90hp and it will do 50mph. He loves it. Only problem is if he stops to fast the water will come in the boat over the back of the boat. So he is careful when stopping.

Went and drove the boat. I must say a 4 stroke is AWESOME. The boat rode great and that motor is just amazin. Now...A few things I didn't like. My wife didnt like that the seats dont fold down, shes worried about tripping. I didn't like the trolling motor..mainly because the button is on the left side and I'll have to learn it all again. I tell you what...having a 4 stroke..just putting reg gas in it and going about your fishing...sounds good. I still like the layout of the nitro z-6 but I'm in love with that 4 stroke motor. Going 35mph is good enough for me. Went 43 with the boat this morning.
